Empowering Education Through Kindergarten Support

Our Mission and Impact

Supporting Kirinthos Kindergarten, a vital educational institution serving three neighboring villages. Your contributions to C. Thomas Educational Fund directly benefit the children of these communities, providing them with a nurturing environment to learn and grow. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of these young learners, ensuring they have access to quality education and a brighter future.

Young children's education often goes unnoticed and receives minimal support. This is a crucial time in every child's life, and such neglect can significantly impact their development. Early experiences shape their cognitive, social, and emotional growth, laying the foundation for future learning.

When educational needs are overlooked, children may struggle with basic skills, leading to long-term disadvantages. This gap in support can hinder their potential and limit opportunities later in life.

Together, we can change this narrative, one step at a time. By advocating for better resources, raising awareness, and supporting early education initiatives, we can ensure that every child receives the nurturing and education they deserve.

How the educational fund came to be

A key component of my childhood was spending time in my dad's native village of Kirinthos, Euboea, Greece. As a child, I was blissfully unaware of the world around me, running up and down the streets and playing in the village square with the local girls, despite our language barrier.

Upon my recent return, the first in three years, I was confronted with vast stretches of burnt wildlife. I had heard about the wildfires, but I didn't realize the severity until I saw it for myself. The village felt muted, and unlike California, there wasn't extensive financial support from Hollywood Glamour. I spoke with the locals, and came to the consensus that the education system had been particularly suffering in the wake of these disasters.
